A few minor questions
Cash/card or local currency?
We have6 x 4 hour ski lessons with Crystal, what are the times?
When does it normally start snowing within the resort of Borovets?
Staying at Hotel Rila, is the restaurant licensed or do you take your own booze?
Are children (12 & 10) welcome in Bobbys bar?
Transfer time from airport to resort ?
Average price for a pint and bottle of wine?
Daft questions and of very little importance just getting a tad excited now ...

Hi Wash,
1. Most restaurants in Borovets do not take cards, so you will need local currency. Don't change your money in UK (the rate is always poor) but change when you get to the resort. If you have a private transfer, ask them to stop in Samokov on the way into Borovets and take you to one of the exchange places - they are the best rates. If you are with a tour operator they won't stop in Samokov but you can change your money in Borovets. Either go to one of the exchange places with a ...

If you are with a tour operator they won't stop in Samokov but you can change your money in Borovets. Either go to one of the exchange places with a 'CROWN' sign outside or there are 6 cahspoints. The cashpoint / bank next to the taxi rank always has the best rate out of all the cashpoints, so use that one if you can - the one by the Rila hotel normally gives a poor rate, so try and avoid this cashpoint.
2. Ski lessons normally start between 9 and 10, although on the first day there will be a lot of standing around.. You then have a couple of hours, have lunch for an hour or so and then a couple more hors after lunch.
3. Snowing...that's a hard one!! Last year was the best season for years and it never stopped! Locals have said it will be another cold / snowy winter - not sure how they know, but they got it right last year!!
4. Rila - restaurant and bar are licensed - as all bars / hotels etc in Borovets so no need to take your own.
5. Transfer time - 1hour
6. Beer - around £1.20, House wine around £4.00 a bottle
7. All children are welcome in the Bar - one side of the restaurant / bar is a restaurant / bar - the other side is a self-contained 'kids club' with games, sofas, soft-play, television, wii, dvd etc where the kids can go and chill out and watch movies etc and are totally safe whilst you sit and have a beer!

Hi Kas many thanks for the reply, think we may need to be locals for the week, sounds perfect.As for the snow last season did the snow start Dec or Jan? Need to keep an eye on the webcams.
As for the prices of drinks, WOW, make sure you get plenty of Sauvignon in stock !!

Wash we started going in 2008 and haven't looked back since always have a great time and meet loads of good people the locals are friendly if you are to them and you will love it

Hi Wash,Last season snow started in end October / beginning Novemberand then stopped and started again around mid December...and then it just carried on snowing!!
