4th Day in Bansko

And we've having a fab time - 4 full days of skiing - not perfect conditions - the first 3 days we're icy in the morning but slightly better when the sun had softened things up.
This is our first skiing trip, having learnt indoors, so have to admit that intially the snow in the Snow Dome was better, but we've a fantastic instructor (Stan) and have have improved tremendously (in intermediate ski school).Today it had snowed higher up and we had our first taste of skiing in deep fresh snow ...

This is our first skiing trip, having learnt indoors, so have to admit that intially the snow in the Snow Dome was better, but we've a fantastic instructor (Stan) and have have improved tremendously (in intermediate ski school).Today it had snowed higher up and we had our first taste of skiing in deep fresh snow.Completely new experince to us and hard in new ways to the icy patches but great fun.Have to say it was windy and sleety but we're here to ski and even my 10 year old wanted to do another run when the instructor decided to call it a day - so we all went off again.
Hotel Perun is fab - be wary if you 're on the side with the Lion Disco - much as I love Marylin Manson at full blast at 4am it's not funny. They did swap our rooms with no fuss though the next day.
Outdoor pool is fantastic- like bath water and brilliant for achy muscles - glorious with a view of the Mountian and fab with the moon and stars out.
No charge for sauna or steam rooms.
Food is certainly good enough (when your hungery)- and I'm a very fussy vegatarian.
No queues for the Gondala up or down (ski road wasn't passable today but had been every other day).
Ski collection on the Sunday took about 1 1/2 hours (get boots before getting in queue) but ski school started later so didn't miss out on any skiing.
Transfer from Sofia took about three hours and was no hassle.
We'd definately come back.Having a fantastic time.
