get him into the ski school. Nothing worse than being humiliated by a child on the slopes. There's an ice rink in the town and talk of other non-skiing activities but not much that I know of.
We took our 5 year old last New Year and he went to the kindergarten at the top of the gondola as the Ulen ski school don't do ski school for under 7. He hated it as it's really geared to younger kids so we had to take him out. The rest of the family then took it in turns to look after him for the rest of the week. If I were you I would say he was 7 and get him in a ski class with Ulen or Method ski school depending on how many hours a day you want.
