I just confirmed my schedule to Bulgaria for my first ski-trip from 6th of March to 16th of March. Now, I am confusing about should I ski in Borovets for the whole trip or should I have a city tour in Sofia for two/three days. Can someone give me a suggestion?re: 7 days? or more?
If I were going to Sofia I would go before I went to the ski resort.I went to Velingrad at Christmas and loved it but I dont know that I would have wanted to leave the ski resort once I was there to go and do any site seeing, if you love ski-ing you will wish you had not booked the city tour, so I would either do it at the beginning of the hol or wait until I had been ski-ing a few days before I made my decision.
I am sure you would love Sofia

Thanks gill, I am from Asia and my friends will arrive to Boro on 4th. That's why I can't take the city tour before I go to Boro.I haven't booked my city tour yet. How can I book Sofia hotel when I am in Boro?

there are internet places in Borovets not sure where as never been.
I must admit I did love Velingrad which Is smaller than Sofia but I saw the real bulgarian culture there.
you could ask on here if anyone knows of any tours that you can book when you get to Boro, I would say that if you are coming all the way from Asia that you should see more of Bulgaria than just the ski-ing, and if you really dont like ski-ing then you will wish you had booked it.

COULD ANYBODY TELL ME IF NIGHT SKING IS OFF THIS YEAR IN BOROVETS OR NOT , IVE READ ITS OFF CAN YOU CONFERM THIS CHEERS GED IN MANCHESTER DUE TO ARRIVE IN MARCH 19TH........re: Night skiing
The end of last year there was none, Then it went to Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays only. I am happy to say that between 21st Jan and 28th Jan it was back on every night. If you find this has changed please let me know in a new posting
