A Bear

A man builds a lovely house and he manages to build it with four south facing walls to maximise the sun in the winter. When he finished it he decided to furnish it with the most expensive furnishings around. He made himself a cup of tea and decided to watch tv. Out of the corner of his eye he saw something go past his window. He jumped up and to his suprise he saw a bear.

What colour was it?

but polar bears are black! The fur is transparent and reflects the light of the sun/snow making them appear white.

Doesn't the North Pole lean towards the sun in winter hence we have longer days? We are further north and the days get longer. I think it's the other way round BelfastBoy.
