Certainly the most in recent years, a bit like it was back in the 1990's when snow cover like this was the norm.

So much for Global Warming eh? Wink

Pete the snow cover is at a 40year record not only 10-20 years so justifying to go there ski everywhere without any ice something which is sooooo rare these days when it comes to southern and low resorts.
Done friday only in your resort after a tour of the Big three BG resorts and all of them are beneficiary with the snow and temperatures.
Bansko was Ok all runs fine and done just negotiating with the gondola there which is the only way of going up from the town if you don't want to use ...

Bansko was Ok all runs fine and done just negotiating with the gondola there which is the only way of going up from the town if you don't want to use rip off taxies or your car was a bit a pain even when there is low season without the pressure of Holiday terms .
Pamporovo was brilliant for a day especially when the weather was too windy for the other two resorts.
Still scatered around but the deep snow makes that place magical and you can forget that you are a bus drive to the ski slopes if staying in the center stayed for a night at Perelik.
Borovets where I ski 2 days prior to Pamp was best for me because of the combination of sun Brrrrrrr cold and no wind and very few people on the slopes.
In conditions like these you can not fault it Honestly.
Well one sticky point is still the price of the lift pass which at 25plus euros is in my opinion at least 5-10 euros more expensive than what it should be to reflect the limited terrain and queues (Bansko)
At least I did not feel riped off because at the end of the day with perfect conditions (once in a lifetime ) like ones at the moment there is no ground for complaining.
I am not interested in the drinking prices in the places so can not comment on them. There are plenty people who can do that Smile .
I have one wish:
After watching on the spot and in person (yesterday and today) how a legendary town Chamonix can arrange and welcome tourist viewers and Fans I wish Bansko can learn from it how to do World Cup Comp with minimum fuss a lot of street parties and genuine fun.
I can still have a dream and hope.
This year competitions in Bansko I think will be Very crucial.
For Now I can keep the perfect memories of the Bulgarian ski places until the next session in good few years.
Let's hope the history of snow cover proves wrong the statistics.
Then I will go again for another taste.
Enjoy the snow whatever place you go!
