A report on all 3 resorts
Hi guys,
Just back from a wee tour of Borovets, Bansko & Pamporovo.
Borovets - Busy, lots of stag do's this year, which is not everyones cup of tea but I found no complaints with them. The resort prices where a lot better than I excepted & of course the Alpina was the cheapest. The snow was good & only a short wait at the lifts sometimes.

Hi guys,
Just back from a wee tour of Borovets, Bansko & Pamporovo.
Borovets - Busy, lots of stag do's this year, which is not everyones cup of tea but I found no complaints with them. The resort prices where a lot better than I excepted & of course the Alpina was the cheapest. The snow was good & only a short wait at the lifts sometimes.
Pamporovo - Very quiet, only the White Hart & Daks that were really open, but they both had a great atmosphere. 5lev for a beer made it the most expensive out of all 3. The snow was good in the morning but by the afternoon it got a bit slushy, but thats to be expected this time of year but you could ski every run & they have had fresh snow.
Bansko - The resort was getting quiet after the World Cup but the usual haunts, Friendly Bar, Amigos, Red Lion were always busy & offering good value for money, but as always the mehanas offered the best value, 1lev a beer. The best news was the snow. The boarding & the skiing was fantastic although the weather closed in on the lower parts the top of the mountain was amazing.
So please don't ask which one I would return to as they all have something good going for them. I now have to decide or roll the dice to choose for next year or if I convince the wife in the next couple of weeks.
