A wee bit of currency advice

I think this still stands ... if you are taking Sterling, make sure it's English. Last few times I was there a very few places took Scottish notes.

Anyone know if this is still the case?

This is true, it just isn't worth the hassle of taking Scottish ones.

Also just take a small amount out with you. We changed money today with Thomas Cook and got 2.50 lev to £1. In the resorts people have been getting around 2.70.

I heard they were good but not one near us that does exchange. We have only changed a small amount anyway.
