Has anybody ever checked the rates available at kiosks to the rate you get at an ATM? I always thought that even after the 1% typically charged by banks the rate you'd get at ATMs is better than at the kiosks. I know this is the case in Mallorca, where last time I went to a kiosk their rate was about 10% away from par! (you can tell by comparing the difference in ...

(you can tell by comparing the difference in "Buy" and "Sell" prices then dividing by 2 - if they quote them).

forget Kiosks it has been known for them to rip you off. Ask the one in Bansko where they advertised 2.2 lev to the £ then worked out on a calculator that £100 was 200 leva.
Easy to spot with an 8ft sign outside their door.
As I left last year they found that their 6ft sign had ended up in the booth. the door is approx 6ft 6
Never had issues with ATMs meself. Why take the risk taking a lump of cash with you when you can generaly use ATMs as easy as at home, and just take out what you need when you need.
