are there any in Borovets or do we have to take all the cash we might need ?

Yes, there are ATM's...... so just take wot ya need for 1st few days!!

Just be aware they can break down, and i couldnt get one of my cards to work, it kept telling me the number was wrong, but it worked fine back here. luckily i had another card. Rates are usually better with cards as well

What exchange rate do they give you (better / worse than hotels in general?)

Also do they charge commission (debit cards not credit cards)

I think I heard somewhere that using your card you actually end up with more lev for your pound than you do by changing the cash? is this true??

take care cloning of machines is happening in BG. I had 20 transactions taken out of mine in the summer in Sunny Beach. These people moved up to the ski resorts for the winter.
