Kimbo, ski road to challin Valog holding up, cannons working at night. Skied the red at challin valog the other morning, was still good though i noticed yesterday a few bare patches. Stay up top, piste is superb all day, only when descending to Shilligarnika does it slush up a bit, but i love the slush, the deeper the better
Will report more tomorrow, day out with BG ski team members, Oerrrrrr

Noooooo, ski road to chain valog from the end of run 12 is entirely mud as there are no snow cannons. Chain Valog itself is however holding up just about. I heard a Bulgarian was killed on it this year - anyone confirm?

Then that has happened in a day, i skied down from the top station (Banderiska Polyana) down the ski road and cut right to pick up base of Challin Valog and got the chair back up to middle station, granted it was getting very thin just off the ski road...
Mat, not heard about Bulgarian, any idea what run ??

Hmm - don't believe that either but as they say - things can change quickly on the mountain BUT... that quick???

Skied ski road today down to Challin Valog, ski road itself good but run from base of black at Challin Valog very patchy. Used chair to middle station and skied black opening to red half a dozen times, a bit slushy but a reasonable challenge. Heavy snow and white out on Todorka today, light snow down to Shilligarnika. Piste very hard early on but softened up after lunch. At the end of the day, not bad conditions for the Balkans in April.

YES YES YES look at the Bansko webcam its Snowing - only 11 hrs until the flight come on.

Anyone else out this week were staying at the Lucky Bansko as a 4, always up for a beer with others.

I am here in bansko, It snowed last night and is snowing now. The road down is not really skiable now and Valin Chalog is shut. Everything above the top of the gongola is skiable and at the top the snow is brilliant. There were not many people here, but lots have come over from pamporo as there is no snow there. But it is still not very busy.
