Hi Guys
I would not trust the usual websites when it comes to getting an accurate medium term weather forecast, and the best short term forecasts come from Kas & Bobby.
Weather prediction is not an exact science and those sites giving 14day predictions might as well set up a small caravan doing palm readings too. There is only one sight that I would trust and that is the European Weather Agency. I live in Cornwall and always use this site to see where the lows are in the Atlantic Ocean, because low pressure creates swell, which results in big waves for surfing. Check out the link….
There are no adverts or flashy bits on the European Weather Agency, and no snow forecasts. What they do tell you is the most important thing, which is where they think the high pressure and low pressure will be. As skiers we are looking for lows, because they bring cold temperatures. Let’s face it; if it’s not cold then you won’t get snow from Mother Nature or the snow cannons.
Please remember that these are mean sea level temperatures, so the actual temperature will be a few degrees less depending what altitude you’re at.
