Hi a group of 6 of us are off to Bansko 20-27 December and we have no idea about anything!
Any advice on where to eat? where to go out? are their storage lockers on the mountain so we dont have to take our skies up and down? what should we and how much should we tip? etc etc etc!
(we want to keep our expenses fairly low but our entertainment high).
Most places you hire you ski's from, recommend you return them at the end of each day. After the Ski home you arrive at these hire places, the Gondola is also next door to the ski hire centers.
first piece of advice ditch your ski's get a board. 2nd piece of advice don't eat too much at lunchtime you'll not want to go back out. 3rd if your learning don't get wasted at night time it will ruin your day, wait until the lessons are done then get wasted. 4th make the most of your holiday, keep going you'll get frustrated but stick it out. As for Bansko never been just Borovets. Who cares where you go as long as theres snow! have a good one.
I do not know your hotel or anything, butdo not stay up near the gondala, it is expensive and for tourists. go down to theold ton and explore the mehanas, restuarants. in the back streets. the main street is ok , but dearer .
