Advice needed

Well here goes. My husband and i are going to Borovets at the end of the month for my husband to snowboard. He has had plenty of practice on dry slopes but none on real snow. I am really just going along for the ride, not interested or really Built!!!! for skiing or boarding. Although we have purchased the statutory Salopettes, Boots etc. What kind of footwear and gear will we need for the evenings? Also staying in Flora hotel, any comments? I am sure i cant be the only person going ...

Mmmmmmm, i doubt you are Very Happy and the numbers in the bars may be witness to that... If its snowy, boots are good, with a grippy sole (though some BG girls seem to do ok in stilletos Surprised) jeans and ski jacket... a fashion parade it ain't Cool

Def not what you would wear about town here!
sound safe grippy boots or trainers (i wear em)- but main road can be very icy!
Flora hotel- look back on posts here or on trip advisor for thehotel- have stayed there and it was fine, basic, but good location and a nice little pool and spa bath!
Have fun!

Yeah- but it can get warm in the pubs and bars on an evening- Buzz bar more of a dance place if your into that!
You may be too tired after walking around in ski boots all day and having fun on the slopes!

I stayed at the Flora last year, and have booked this year for 5 couples. The food at breakfast is good, the evening meals are not the best, but adiquate. The best thing is the location, you are only 5 mins walk from anywhere. The staff are friendly and very helpfull. I hope you have a great time. Ski safe.

Stayed at flora a couple of times and really liked it. Personal opinion, but I prefer it to Rila, Igilika and Ella. We now stay in a little family hotel near the slope which suits us better. You should have no problems there. As regards shoes - above advice is sound. Just returned and my party included 2 18 year olds - even they avoided the high heels and went out in grippy boots. Main drag can get icy. Another of our party was just there for apres ski and had a ball.

Enjoy yourself and ...

Enjoy yourself and try to get to Titannic and meet Kas - she talks sense rather than just trying to sell the place at any cost.
