Advice on buying skis & boots

Just got back from Borovets - had an excellent time & would like to buy skis & boots for next year rather than renting.
Very Happy
Can anyone tell me where to get good advice about boot fitting, the type of skis to get, good prices etc. I live in the North East btw.
(I am sure that this will have been asked before on the forum - I did a search but got no results - probably doing something wrong!)

great shops at xscape in castleford just bought some skis on sunday great advise and an excuse to go skiing damn it!
