Rila is a big hotel but clean and comfortable, cleaners are very good. My kids love it there, mainly for the location. Free swimming for guests and next to the pool is a ceramic painting section. They can go and paint their choice of ceramic animal etc every day. You then have to carefully transport it home! Mine love tobogganing on the slope outside the hotel. Ask for a front balcony room for great views over the slopes. Although it can be a bit noisy at night. Back rooms have nice ...

Food is ok - we prefer the breakfast. Good choice and they cook fresh pancakes. Dinner not always so good but can usually find something. Cook pizza while you wait.

Kindergarten - kids always look happy to me and ski twice a day. There's an English lady called Elaine there, who has made big improvements. Have heard more positive reports than negative comments. Sometimes depends whether there's others of same age that week. Very convenient as next to ski depot.

Have a great time. Very Happy

re: Advice on the Rila

Staff are a lovely bunch, however i would still put your importants in the safe at reception.Rooms are comfy althouh those facing the forest are quieter. Food is gash full stop, and the whole process feels like school dinner time When you arrive it will be a complete free for all to check in.However its on the foot of the main slope, so you can wonder in for a beer at the bar a bit to easily. Im arriving on the 8th, see you there. Get involved!
