I'm thinking of having a private coach for the first day...
1. Do you think it's worth it?
2. Will it mess my ski-school placings?
3. Do you know anyone who'd be interested to undertake this task?
To book a 4 hour private lesson with the ski school at the gondola station will cost you 105 levs. I personally don't think it's worth it. When you go into ski-school you will be joined by other beginners so you start all at the same level, you soon make friends and laugh at each other which is part of the fun.
No it shouldn't mess up your placing in the school but it does depend on the original instructor.
I may know of someone who could help I'd need to check, but my advice is to ...

We'll have to meet up for a drink if at all possible.
I thnk you're right, I think I'll have enough to think about without needing to organise a private lesson...
I'm not a complete beginner, but not an intermediate either. I'm sure there'll be a few others at a similar level.
I'm jus sooooo excited. I've nothin else to think about now until Saturday. Finished a week of nights this morning and now have the rest of the week off.
I have found that the first day or two I spend getting back to the level i was when i last did it. I think having a private lesson at the beginning of the trip is a waste. I would go for a private lesson on my 3rd day.
As for ski schools, i find i dont learn a great deal in them, but they are a great laugh and a fantastic way to meet people.
Crazy Lady,
I'm trying to sort some private tuition with my old instructor, but don't know what would be a competitive rate to pay for 3 people for 6 days. Any ideas what independent individuals are charging lessons?
I've checked the prices on banskoski, but figured they don't really help since if it's organised privately there will be no ski school to take a cut.
Any advice would be great,
