Advice

After a week in Borovets last year, which I must admit was fab, we are going again on the 2nd of Feb. However, I have one problem. Our instructor (Demo) completely stripped my wife of any confidence she may have had. He was more concerned with those in the group that could ski rather than those who couldn't. Any suggestions for boosting her confidence this year. We have booked for ski school again but she is very apprehensive.

re: Advice

why not go for a couple of private lessons, she will come on quickly and should boost her confidence.

Titanic

See how you get on with the new instructor, If he is good or not, you can't go wrong with a couple of private lessons, very cheap and very good quality. See Niki (ex olympic giant slalom) in the Titanic. If he has time (and if you are lucky) then he will take her out himself, or he will at least put you in touch with someone. Another ex olympian bar owner is Christo at the white magic. Hope she sticks with it - one day it will just click Exclamation Razz Booze

re: Advice

I know it's a bit expensive but a private lesson at one of the uk indoor snowslopes may be a good idea.

Two years ago, my daughter and myself were in a group in ski school, she wasn't getting anywhere, and, subsequently neither was I.

I toddled (when I say 'toddled' I mean stomped Wink) over to one of the little ski shops and found her an instructor for a few hours. She came on leaps and bounds. I was able to concentrate and next day she joined the class again.

Which resort are you going to? I'm sure people here could recommend independent instructors who may be flexible in their approach.

Hi. I'm off to Borovets again this year and just need that little 'push' to get my wife going as she should.
