Airport Taxes

Forgive my ignorance but do you have an arrival tax or departure or even both in Bulgarian airports, which is extra on top of your holiday price???

I know there are British security charges of roughly £7 per person, but do the Bulgrian Air Authorities charge you to enter or exit the Airport

Never had to pay at the airport for the last 8 years.

As from 2004, everyone entering Bulgaria from the UK will have to pay roughly £250.00 to enter the country.


£100.00 of this will be returned to you on your departure providing you have not consumed any alchol on your stay.

You will be required to provide a urine sample to prove this to the authorities.

Faiulure to comply will result in a further charge of £100.00
