Airport tax

anyone any news on the airport tax implemented today. Going with Crystal (First Choice flight) B'ham on Sat.

was reading on this website that it depends on when you booked your holiday if you get charged or not, if you are flight only they may ask you for more money, booked ours last year, hopefully we'll be ok, first time skiers, with all the gear to buy this hol has been expensive enough this time.

I e-mailed Balkan and they confirmed that we don't have any extra to pay. If you booked a package the tour company has to cover the extra tax for you - that's something to do with your contract. However, if you booked flights only, then you have to pay, regardless of when you booked

I spoke to Inghams about this last week, they told me that if you've booked before Dec 06 then you won't have to pay the airport tax

hey, we are on the birmingham flight too...just rang us first choice..if we have not been aware of the tax increase by letter or any other form then it doesnt have to be payed..the lady on the phone said that first choice were still in talks over wether they are going to introduce it or not.so touch wood - we should be ok?

I'm off with First Choice and they confirmed this morning that no extra air passenger duty is due.
