Last time i went skiing i went to St Anton where at the end of each day we stopped 3/4 way down the slopes at a bar a drank a drink they called gluvine which was a sort of warm red wine.
Then after getting 3 parts drunk then you had to try to remember where you put your skies and attempt the last part of the slope which was the fun part.
I think that may be where the saying "break a leg" comes from.
So then i'm staying in the Rila at the end of Feb and just wondered if the same sort of ...

oh yes and yes big drinking out there on and off the slopes. You can get the lot whatever tipple floats your boat. have to agree with chris on the Brandy hot choc but nice to intersperse it with gluhwein or it gets a bit sickly.re: Alcohol
So thats how you spell "gluhwein" and good to know the same goes on there.You seem to know lots of answers Vicki so a bit nearer my arrival date i will bug you with lots of questions and repay you with a few drinks when i get there.

not sure of that spelling (I just made it up. shhhh don't tell anyone) just a guess.If you wanna bug me you will have to email me direct to my email as I won't have time to check through all this lot everytime and I go tomorrow for the season.
