A woman was very seriously ill and in need of a brain transplant to survive.
As the operation was not offered on the National Health Service her
relatives opted to pay for it privately. On discussion with the surgeon they
came to the inevitable question of fees.
Well said the surgeon if you have a female brain it will cost £5,000 but I can
offer you a discount if you agree to take a male one. It would only cost
£3000 all in.
Why the difference in price? They asked.
