Another one about helmets...Sorry!

Hi guys, there is a group of 6 of us going to boro on Saturday, 4 adults and 2 kids.
We have been looking at helmets but not sure where to buy from, are we able to buy them over in Borovets? they are rather bulky to buy in the UK, any help would be great.
Cheers

They are just as bulky to buy in Bulgaria! Remember you have to bring them back with you and then take them next time too. Seriously, though, if there's somewhere near you where you can buy them, then better to get them in the UK. Remember, they are for safety and the cheapest is definitely not the best.

ie s +26-30 ( eg only)

Definately get helmets and try to get them in UK before you go, found ski items in ski resorts quite expensive (captive market!). You can get really good deals in UK, but I would advise trying before buying as a poorly fitted one or one with a bit of padding just not fitting right will make your trip a misery (headaches, chaffing etc). People skiing with a helmet used to be a bit of an oddity but I'd say its 50/50 now and getting higher.
As for being bulky, we found they packed quite well. ...

As for being bulky, we found they packed quite well. You can protect your goggles inside them for starters and stuff your gloves, shreddies and socks in them!! Very Happy

Just spoken to Balkan and they said helmets are not included in hire cost but can be hired easily locally.
Anybody else hired helmets in borovets?
