Bulgaria Ski discussion board

Hi all..

Where did the summer go ? seems i was only on my bike for a couple of weeks (ok, a bit longer ) Much colder now, and snow is in the air.. the mountains already looking white and inviting. This will be my 37th year of skiing, and living here obviously allows me to go when i want... but i still get excited at the thought Let us hope for a mega season, i have got powder withdrawal symptoms, last season leaving us wanting.. this season i'm praying for at least waist deep (don't want to be greedy) Here's to everyone who may be heading out to Bulgaria, exchange rates are the best they have been for a couple of years, fuel costs have dropped as they have in the UK, and this is effecting prices as well... It's all adding up to possibly being a great time

If anyone has any questions (even the usual ones ) ask away, and we'll do our best (board old timers) to answer....

My friends and I are getting stupidly excited about our annual, first week in February visit to Bansko. Last time was a wee bit of a write off for me as I'd only just gotten my leg out of a cast following a mountain bike mishap, so this visit is going to be even more exciting than usual. If you could order up some snow like we had in 2012 I'd be very grateful Steve. Last season's snow wasn't great, but even with a banged up leg making turns excruciating, the deserted early morning runs and superb quality food and drink at amazing prices left me with a huge satisfied grin on my face every day.

There are things that come around because you have either forgotten about them, or assumed they had changed........ and they take you by surprise....... and the commercial aspect of this board is one :-( My post of discounted lift passes and packages was deleted.. obviously i thought this may be of interest to money concious members of this board, i had been careful not to post actual prices, but had anyone been interested they could have contacted me... Now then, i'm not about to spam this board to death for the sake of a couple of Euro, if the moderators could have the decency to contact me if anything falls below what they consider acceptable.. i have been a member of this board for longer than most, and hopefully contribute to people deciding to visit Bulgaria.. personally we do not benefit financially through this board, but we look at the bigger picture, that is to attract old and new visitors that ultimately will benefit all....

I actually read the comment about discounted lift passes that you wrote yesterday and pressed the 'like' button as I totally agree with you about the financial pressures / bigger picture etc especially at a time when the board is at its quietest ever AND when poor snowfall affected everyone in general last year, most importantly the customer.

I guarantee you 100% , that I did not delete it. I suggest you re-post and see what happens and hopefully whoever deleted it will then contact you and explain why or leave it for the benefit of customers.
