Any snow left in Pamps in April?

Hi ski pals,
Thinking of booking a really cheap deal to Pamps on April 4th, for a "late deal" ski holiday this season.It's an offer we can't really refuse etc; but I'm concerned over the general snow cover in Pamps so late in the season.
Would really appreciate any comments/advice from others please, or would we be skiing on grass by then.

No chance.
Its the lowest and sunniest resort. Really, I wouldn't go if it was free - you'll be wallowing in mud. Alone.

Would hope they have got snow then as they are holding a skiing competition in pamps on April 13th which wouldn\'t be happening if there was no snow. Am sure the bottom will be ropey but would imagine they are confident the top will be ok Very Happy

Nowhere in Bulgaria is sufficiently snow sure to be able to run a competition on 13th April - indeed in the 7 years I have been here I can't remember a resort being even open on 13th April. They normally close by the second week of April.

We have had heavy snow in April the last 2 years in Pamps and it was great .No crowds either .

Have you thought about Borovets instead?

It's the highest resort in BG so usually the last to close. We're thinking of going out for 3 days skiing 2nd weekend in April. Have a really good contact who seems to think there will still be plenty of skiing at the top of the mountain.

But to be sure we're gonna book it last minute.
