Yes, at least yours struck when you were home. We arrived Sat and by Mon I was feverish and achey all over - put paid to learning to ski because by the time I felt up to it, my family had progressed on the green runs!!
I thought it was the heating but PP said it could have been from the air conditioning on the plane. Take my own air supply next time
Oh well, there's always next year to learn
Yeah i did think i was lucky not to catch it whilst i was there.
It's definately a cold..if it was the flu i'd be bed ridden....i'm trying to look on the positive side and see it as a little souvenir from my holiday
My boss just asked if i wanted him to call in cover so i could have tomorrow off..and i said NO!! I never realised a weeks skiing could mess up ya senses so much
I returned from Pamporovo yesterday and was glad to get back home.
from last Monday afternoon until yesterday morning, i spent most of my holiday in bed. I was shivering, nausea, streaming nose, rasping cough, shooting pains throughout my body, ate in a week what i would normally eat in a day, drank very little alcohol and felt generally knackered.
since I've been home, i've eaten a hearty meal, had 6 pints of beer, and only have a cough. I believe I picked up a cold on the plane over ...

since I've been home, i've eaten a hearty meal, had 6 pints of beer, and only have a cough. I believe I picked up a cold on the plane over, but it was compounded by Altitude Sickness because I've never felt as bad in that one week as i have ever done. I've never been skiing before and dont want to if i have to go through that again.
Its all those lovely communal germs we share trhough the air con on the plane. This year we took mumps out with us and brought back a cold/flu bug. and Yes I've been laid low with the dreaded lurgy from arriving home.
ahhhh Kenny mate sorry to hear that...i had never been before and i loved...if i was you i would give it at least one more try before giving up completely...if all goes well you'll love it i'm sure.
Yes I have a bad cold, feel absolutley pants. My friend who has been to Bulgaria a number of times says everytime he came back he was ill - the last time really bad for 8 days. He calls it the Bulgaria flu because its never happened from any other ski resort he has been to.
Luckily it didnt ruin my holiday, feel bad for those guys holidays that it did ruin.
Of the five of us who went to boro on jan 15 three have had bad colds. I assumed we picked it up on the plane. The Bulgaria flu idea though shouldnt be sniffed at.
