Bulgaria Ski discussion board

Got back from first time skiing on Saturday, already checked out prices for next year. We stayed in the finlandia this time which was excellent - only drawback being that it was a bit too far out. As my son was so eager to ski and too impatient to wait for the courtesy bus in the mornings he was walking to the ski centre, so we would like somewhere more central next year. Prices seem to have gone up a lot so was looking at the Rozhen which seems reasonable - but don't know what the facilities are like or food etc if anyone has any experiences can you let me know. You'll love it, we had a brilliant holiday. The food was fine, always warm enough, contrary to other reports. There were several choices for main course at dinner and the soups in Bulgaria are wonderful - both my children had soup to start every meal and they don't even like it over here!!! The dessert was more limited but still a choice. Breakfast was good aswell with cereal, juice, toast, eggs, cakes, cold meats etc. The rooms in the Finlandia are as good as a four star hotel over here, we had a family room which consisted of a bedroom, lounge area with sofa bed a large bathroom with a bath that I stayed in for about an hour every evening and also a lobby area with wardrobe - so very spacious. I didn't actually make it to the swimming pool as I was too shattered after the skiing and preferred to lounge in the bath, but the children went in it most nights and said it was warm. It is about a twenty minute walk to the ski centre although it took my husband over an hour one evening with two wingeing twelve year old girls in tow as they missed the last ski bus and I had his wallet so he couldn't get a taxi!!!!! All in all one of the best holidays we've ever been on, if you have any more questions don't hesitate to ask.
