April skiing?

The gf and I are thinking about a snowboarding hol in April to Bulgaria. So, here's the questions:

Is April a good time of year to go?
How expensive is renting snowboarding equipment, and what's the best resort?

Late March to Mid april the snow starts melting, so for general boarding the snow will get "soft" in the sun.

Board and boot hire is about £70 booked through a travel agency (cheaper). Lift pass is £60-70 also cheaper through agency.

Pamporovo is excellent for beginners intermediates.

Bansko and Borovets, you'll need to ask someone else about that.

Pamps is great fro learning. Loads of instructors etc.

Lift pass is far more than £60 - £70 when not pre-booked.
In Bansko you should be able to get board and boots for about £40 from a shop away from the gondola
