Are there snow cannons by the Borovets reservoir

Are there snow cannons by the Borovets reservoir

Does anyone know if there are snow cannons by the reservoir in Borovets? Whenever I look it seems that there is a shed load of snow falling there but nothing obvious elsewhere.

Perhaps it is snowing there but I wondered if it might be from a snow cannon just out of shot...

Hi Jez

Yep sorry Ystrabets 2 & 3 have cannons all the way up. You can see the cannons on other cams, but the effect is nowhere near the same as this one.

It would be amazing if this were real snow all over the mountain - it looks a blizzard right now - but fake(ish) I'm afraid

Bah - looking at the interactive piste map on the Borosports site (great map btw) it shows two cannons right close to the web cam locations so I suspect you are right Danny.

What a shame if it is just the cameras - I've seen snow regularly on the two cameras looking at the reservoir and now I now why....

Hi Guys...

There are some static cannons, but most of them are mobile which are moved around by the piste bashers....

There is a static one by the reservoir which is the one you see on the webcam... Sorry!
