and myself arrive on the 8 Jan (late) and are staying at the Ela. Have booked beginner packages with Thomson/Crystal and was just a bit worried as I can't find anything that says a helmet is included. Can anyone advise please. Also are cashpoint machines easily accessible. Have a Nationwide card so not too expensive but was just a bit worried if there was more than one locally (had this problem in Greece once). Any info on the Ela would be much apreciated. Read on another ...

Hi Wolvogirl,There is a cash machine in the Ela.
I am unsure if helmets are included (they weren't when we used Crystal) but we have bought our own and wouldnt be with out 1! You can get them cheap enough at places like Decathlon and M&M direct (mail order/web).
We are out on the 8th with a gang and will prob meet up with Kas & Bobby from here.
Ela is a great choice, we have stayed there twice and it is my fave!

Di,forgot to mention, dont be fooled by exchange booths offering good rates, I got conned a couple o years ago.
There is a bank in the Rila hotel and the Crown booths can be trusted.
You will have a great time.

Thanks for that Pete. I am hoping that we will be able to hire a helmet when we get there. Glad to here the Ela is ok, was getting a bit concerned by some of the reveiws I have found. My son and myself are out on our own as hubby can't come but I am sure that he will be able to find a couple of mates to hang out with. Thought it might be a good idea to go to a forum meet, good way to break the ice. Think I will take about £50 in lev and get the rest out the cash machine in the hotel. Do ...
