@tombalabomba we took £400 which gave us 840 levs, we changed extra monday on the thurs (due to the wife having private lessons) one of the bell boys changed cash for us, there are cash points in resort, safe behind reception cost 25lev for a week weel worth it
as for ski packs we went with crystal and booked a 2 for 1 offer on selected dates only though you
hit the return key to early , was going to say check with your operator what is available, some on our group went off on hteir own after a day or too so took adbvantage of the offer
yes we had a great time, i skkied many years ago first time for the wife and kids 16, 14 and 13
as for money exchange it was convienient with the bell boy using the sterling we had, it is cheap enough out there our extra outlay was for private lessons for the wife, massage etc, he probaly made a few levs out of it, no doubt a slightly better rate would be available in the supermarket
where are you flying to its a bit of a drag from sofia 4 hrs, plodiv is 1 1/2 hours

kids loved the pool, free wifi in hte hotel etc our only regret was we did not do the skidddoo trip or a husky ride
yes, ski school started sunday, by tues we were on the drag lift slope, weds thurs fri from the top down, graduating from green to bits of blue and red. my daughter was in a wrist cast due to a slight cracked bone, so she was cautious about letting herself go but the instructor yanko was first class.
take us with you lol, we had a bit of trouble with the AI but from posters who have been there since that appears to have resolved itself.
dependant on what you want but with our three kids i got bottled coke from tyhe supermarket everyday rather than buy it on hte slopes, only a lev 50p difference but it all adds up, the kids were not fussed on the food in the manilla restuarant so every other day we went into alex pub by the nursey slope, decent meal and drink for 12 lev £6.

when you get off the bus there are locals trying to sell you little bells, quite funny realy as they remembered me from last year, although never been to bulgaria bar this visit, i bought a little bell off them never pestered us again
i would not recomend skiing naked we saw one bloke do it and fall ouch, have a good time
one other thing the kids were complaining that their chins were cold coming down the mountain so bought a sort of gortex balaclava from down by the 3 man chairlift only cost 10 lev kids were as warm as toast
Not planning on skiing naked don't think kids would be pleased!
Was thinking about balaclava's earlier so will have a look. They have hats etc but if its really cold. Was it freezing when you were there or ok with enough layers on?
Good tip is, as you are AI, instead of buying bottle drinks on the slopes each day, buy them once and bring the empties back to the perlik each night, and in the morning refil them free from the AI machine in the breakfast bar, that is providing someome can ski with a backpack on ,it saves a fortune.
I may be a tight yorkshireman as we (family of 4) exchanged just over £100 before we came out, so brought with ourselves 220lvs, we spent 30lvs servicing our skis, 80lvs on ski masks as it is ...

I may be a tight yorkshireman as we (family of 4) exchanged just over £100 before we came out, so brought with ourselves 220lvs, we spent 30lvs servicing our skis, 80lvs on ski masks as it is cold at the moment, 45lvs on new sun glasses, so spent 155lvs on unnecessary stuff, and 10lvs on bottle drinks on the first day, and as yet have not spent another penny, we will be going bowling tonight though, I would exchange a small amount and see how far it gets you the rate in the resort is 2.18 at the moment
