Avalanche wrecks chairlift, amazing nobody was killed, this was in Longchamp and was caused by high temps causing the base of the snowfield to loose adhesion, just goes to show the power of snow!!
I bet there was some underwear washed that evening!!!!
Have to agree, if I saw what must have been hundreds if not thousands of tons of snow coming down the mountain I would have been going down the mountain like a ski racer.
Has witnessed a crack of avallange last week(Saturday PM in very close encounter )
Had to take a break for an hour to get my brain sorted.
Otherwise Absolutely perfect Week and weekend in Savoie .

Any suggestions??
One will be Borovets cos of the conveniences of being close to the capital .
what about the other one?
Expecting some suggestions But honest ones only and not adverts because they don't work on me and I usually laugh at them and at the posters who have decided to full somebody.
Apparently when it started they realised what was happening and closed the lift, however they didnt get time for everyone to get to the top before the bottom station was wrecked so a number were trapped for a while before being rescued.
The lift company had closed the piste below the area knowing it to be unstable, guess they didnt think it was quite that unstable, still no one hurt apparently and I guess they will get a shiny new lift off the insurance!!
