BAA Strikes

We travel to pamps on the 28th December Via heathrow and sofia and return on the 7th of jan, the day a 24 hour strike has been called by BAA does anyone have any info on the problems this will cause and do i have to worry about changing flights ect.

They are saying there will be total disruption at some of the major airports because it will involve not just baggage handles but many more like desk jobs and security.
Even if this is a 24 hour strike it will have a knock on effect for days after.
