Hi all,

I have just come off the telephone after having 2 fairly lenghty conversations with the Customer Services Manager at Balkan Holidays.

A meeting took place today to decide on what flights would, and would not be cancelled due to the lack of pre booked passengers.

The details are as follows....

Edinburgh & Newcastle

No plans to change or cancel any flights from the above airports. They last skiing flights out from these airports will depart on 4th April 2009.

Bristol & Manchester

The last skiing flights out of these airports will depart on March 7th 2009. Any flights after that date have now been cancelled. Customers who have booked holidays with Balkan after 7th March 2009 will be informed of the options available to them by post in the next few days.

Angie and I have been offered the option of flying on the 21st March from London Heathrow flight number FB8152 in order to proceed with our holiday. We have accepted this at a slightly reduced price. Other than that our holiday remains unchanged.

Whilst this is not all together good news, I have to say that Balkan dealt with my concerns professionally and instantly and seeing that Angie and I were in fact the ONLY passengers booked on the Bristol flight for the 21st March I can respect and understand their decision.
