re: BASE LAYERS?

you will roast if you wear too many layers. Decide on the day. Thin layers better than one thick one.

re: BASE LAYERS?

depends how cold it is and how energetic a skier you are!
Take a base layer + tops eg thin fleeces and a jacket - then you can mix and match according to temp
I was asking all the questions 2 years ago - now hooked!
also going to borovets in Feb

re: BASE LAYERS?

Take layers that you can put in a back pac or pocket. Weather on a mountain is very changeable. Id rather be warm than too cold. Very Happy

And no cotton - use synthetic fabric that'll wick the sweat away from your body

re: BASE LAYERS?

Most of the time I ski with thermals + roll neck sweater and ski suit.

Almost always warm enough and often too warm.

A lot will depend on how long and how hard you intend to ski each day. Standing around will mean more protection needed - going hard all day then less.
