hi,
myself and 3 friends are heading over 2 BELMONT HOTEL, PAMPOROVO for new years and i was wondering if any one can give me information on the hotel and pamporovo, are the slopes near the hotel and is there night life around us?
the hotel is very nice, unfortunately however yiu are quite some way from the centre of resort, not walkable so taxis will be needed if you are planning on partying. For the slopes you are ok there is a bus to and from your hotel just like all the others, you are a few minutes drive from the slope but a good 10-15 from the resort.
you will have a great time, its a nice hotel, food is good

This hotel is a bit out of pamporovo, set in a forest area near the finlandia hotel. it has a good spa. we stayed in the finlandia two years ago and used to walk to the belmont to go bowling and use the spa. I think they have a bus service to the slopes, i dont know about the evenings.

My partner and I stayed at the Belmont Hotel in March this year. First time to Bulgaria. The hotel is fantastic. Not fantastic if you want to be in the heart of the center though.
They run a very reliable shuttle service to the slopes from about 8am to 11am and returns between 3.30pm - 5.30pm. Not sure about the evenings, but the reception got taxi's at good rates to the center for customers.
The rooms are spacious and very clean and modern. The food was great, good choice, hot and plenty ...

The rooms are spacious and very clean and modern. The food was great, good choice, hot and plenty of it. Very friendly staff, good facilities (pool, spa, bowling, restaurant & bar) we were very impressed!
The only downside was the disco that was very loud and went on til 2am, which is ok if you want that, but this was when there was only the DJ and his mates in. Quite a few of us complained and it was never heard again. If I was you I would request a quiet room. Other than that I would definately go back to the Belmont and definately recommend it. If you decide to walk to the center, then it would take a good 30 mins and it is very dark in places - no street lights bewtween main road and hotel which is reached by a small lane through a forest. So take a torch!
