It is true. I hope your boots fit well because you will be doing a lot of walking. I got so pissed off I walked up one of the drag lifts which was about 1km because they would let me on. I don’t recommend it cos it nearly killed me and I didn’t have the energy to board down with any conviction. The resort is crap for boarders and they don’t want you there so they make everything hard.re: BOARBERS ON THE DRAG LIFTS
The drags on the top slopes are high speed but I have never seen any problem with boarders using them in my las two visits. Will be very disappointing if this is true and cant see how an up and coming resort plans to survive without the intergration of boarding and skiing. If anyone else has had a problem please pst on this board as everyone should know........

It is true that boarders are allowed.Last seasons there were no problems, but this year the drag lift path is in a very bad state, and it s really a pain to climb it with a board...
Anyway the runs there are so short that it s preferable to take the ones along the cabin lift (Yastrebets)

It is a problem, I got back last week - the ones at the top are too steep so you have to walk.
The slops running doen the other side of the Gondala last week refused boarders access as they wanted to protect the best snow for skiiers. The only decent blue is out of action because the 1 main chair lift is out of action.
The facts are you have 1 gondala 1 quad chair, all of which is red/black or the crappy nursery slops with a 1920s button lift that stops working for an hour every other ...

I think the main problem is the lack of snow, because the previous seaons there was no problem. And of course the fact that there is 1 slope less (the blue one) is really bad for boarders this season...We just have to wait for more snow, and for the Borovets staff to groom the ground under the drag lifts on the top...

This all seems like a worrying development. The drag lifts at the top by the gondola are hairy to say the least......I seemed to eat alot of snow last year....but they are usable and it beats walking. I did on one occassion and it took me about an hour.
It seems that, coupled with the lack of the one man lift (which led to the best run for boarders in my opinon) most of the mountain is closed for boarders. They don't mention that when you book a SNOWBOARDING holiday at the travel ...

I was advised by my insurance company that the piste have to be closed, so the fact the the drag lifts arn't compatable with boarders is tuff.Sorry fella but theirs no chance of gettting compensation out of them
