BORO CONDITIONS - MARCH 3RD

Morning Guys,

Not much different to report, but will write a report regardless as I know there are a number of you waiting with baited breath for trips out next week...!!

There was no snow last night and it's not currently snowing now. The weather is very cold though so the cannons have been on. The best conditions can be found on the yastrebets slopes and the Rila slopes. I would love to say up on the Markudjik slopes as then people would be coming to the restaurant, but that's not ...

I would love to say up on the Markudjik slopes as then people would be coming to the restaurant, but that's not where the best skiing is, as although Markudjik 1 is skiing extremely well, there is only that and the Suhar open so it is limited up here.

So...

Markudjik 1 - very good
Suhar - very good

Yastrebets 1, 2 and 3 all skiing extremely well, although a bit too much snow from the snow cannons, which hasn't been pisted which makes it tough but interesting!! the fun park is also going down really well.

Down on the Rila side, the runs are skiing well, although a couple need a bit more snow for example the Royal express way. The Rila reds are pretty good, especially where the snow cannons have been and have been pisted really well.

The Harima down to the 4man is getting very bare and not sure how much longer it will open for....really need some snow.

It is cloudy at the bottom and top - it was snowing when we left Samokov but it's not in Borovets at the moment. Snow is forecast for today and tomorrow BUT we will wait and see....!

Thanks kas! Keep the updates coming! Very Happy They're a good read and the best source of information regarding conditions on the net! So thank you for these! Very Happy
At least there's some good conditions on half the runs! So should still be able to put my lessons into practice next week! Will still come up and visit even if the Markudjik slopes are closed next week - want to see what all the fuss is about! Razz

re: BORO CONDITIONS - MARCH 3RD

Hi Kas,

Thanks for that. I was working through the night last night and could see that no snow was falling Sad but really pleased to pick up on the good news in your reports.

Let's hope the forecasts hold up and there is a bit snow to refresh the tired slopes but if not then never mind - we'll get to enjoy what ever is there and it will be great to meet you up at the White House anyway!

cheers!

re: BORO CONDITIONS - MARCH 3RD

Hi Kas.
Got back from Bannf on Sunday had a wonderful time. Ski conditions at Lake Louise were incredible only one problem, Sad no white house on the top of the mountain. The temp out there was frightening on one day it was down to -30 with a wind chill factor of -41, did not see many brass monkeys hanging around.
Hope the W H. is doing ok, best wishes to Bobby & speedy recovery.
Hope you have met up with Carl & Paul they are out there this week.
All the best.
S.P. Happy dance

re: BORO CONDITIONS - MARCH 3RD

Hi SP,

Glad you guys had such a great time....really jealous although not of the temps!! Carl & Paul come in every day - normally for bacon sandwiches!! But....there's 2 things about them that have confused me....

1. They don't drink anywhere near as much as you and D'Boo
2. They are always waiting for the first gondola at 8.45...

Just can't believe they are friends of yours.......!!!!!!

xx

Take care, 11 months and counting.
