BORO Conditions 8th January - QUEUES!!!

Morning All,
Not going to complete a full report as it is identical situation to yesterday both in terms of what's open and the actual skiing conditions BUT the queuing on Yastrebets is extremely busy... This includes both the wait for free transfer buses (unless you want to pay for a taxi) but also the queue for the 4 man chair which is still getting longer. This is predominantly due to the locals (from Sofia) coming over for the weekend. Weekends are always busy for this reason but ...

Weekends are always busy for this reason but obviously there is nothing more else to ski (except Rila reds) and so people are just buying a ticket for the Yastrebets 4 man chair rather than a day ticket for the whole resort.
Bobby got over there and has now come back to the Rila slopes, which are quite icy but Very quiet, so his suggestion for any new arrivals (if you are able to read this!) is that for any advanced / intermediate skiiers, you would be better staying on the Rila runs tomorrow and then moving to Yastrebets on Monday, when the queues will be negligible.
Me - I'm taking his youngest swimming instead...!!

Today the skiing conditions in Borovets are excellent – the weather is sunny and the ski slopes are perfectly maintained. The ski slopes in front of the Rila hotel, Martinovi Baraki 1, 2,3, as well as Popangelov, Yastrebets 3, Sitnyakovo and Suhar are opened.
Seem to be making it sound better than it really is Kaz.
Bansko have opened the chair at Shilli today ...
