Hi All,

Conditions have deteriorated a bit since yesterday, due to it being so warm today. Gondola was shut first thing due to winds, but opened up circa 10am. Conditions at the top were fantastic but from abut 1pm, have become very slushy and quite hard going. Snow is melting rapidly and we need more snow to ensure good conditions for those coming out next week.

It did say on the morning news that it was to snow again tomorrow and on saturday, so hopefully this will come true and it will be fine.

We went night skiing last night and the conditions were absolutely fantastic and well worth the 22lev to ski! The slopes were also totally empty!

So...all in all, conditions are great in the morning, poor in the afternoon, but still everything is skiable and open!

It is just about snowing at the top of the mountain - but raining down here in Samokov now as it's circa 5degrees here and as such, what would usually be snowing is in actual fact raining!!

Saying that, the local news said it was going to get colder again tonight and then warmer Friday and colder again at the weekend, so hopefully that will be the case.

At the top of the mountain, it is about 90cm, Yastrebets closer to 1.5metres (due to the snow cannons adding to the extra snow) and down in the resort circa 80 to 90cm - again due to the help from snow cannons. Obviously it is too hot for the cannons to work now, but there is still good coverage from this weeks snow and when they worked before.

There is plenty of snow at the moment, we just need a bit more over the next few days to ensure conditions remain great!
