i just need some info on what to expect what sort of clothes to take bla bla?!?!?!
It is a great place as long as you do not expect USA or French piste conditions. The skiing is interesting but a bit of everything for all levels. Advanced is a bit limited but there are some great runs if you talk nicely to your instructor. Generally the instructors are great, all speak good English and if you get a good one remember a tip at the end....they don't earn that much and if all in the ski group chip in it's a nice bonus for them. Night life is as lively or as quiet as you want. Try Francos, Titanic (personal friends of ours for ten years) and on a good night the Karaoke bar outside the Rila Hotel at the foot of the nursery slope. Great value mostly but don't get bullied into a bar....make your own choice...there a loads to choose from. You will want to go back! Don't expect brilliant service but go with the flow.
thanks for replying. to be honest im an awful skier the last tme i went skiing was 4 yrs ago and for my friend its been about 10yrs so we are both at beginners level. im up for a laugh and always find it easy to go with the flow so i should be fine. the weather doesnt sound to great, but by the sounds of things there will be plenty of things to do if theres not much snow.
Would you reccommend going skiing in Bulgaria first week of March 2008 or last week in Feb 2008? I'm thinking of going to Borovets again for the second time.
I went early Jan this year and conditions weren't great had awesome snow at the end but the gondola was closed mid week for few days due to high winds so couldn't get up top but still had great hols, the last two days after huge dump made up for it.

The snow on the webcam in Boro looks ok at the mo a lot better when we went as there was lots of mud and black showing through.
Some people say March is bit wet and warm so was wondering if you were gonna play it safe and book in advance whats best for cold temps and good snow base and chances of snow - last week in Feb or first in March?
