BOROVETS - SNOW CANNON UPDATE

Hi All,
Following my post at the beginning of the week, here is some more info...
a) They are no longer doing cannons from Gondola to Yastrebets as they are hoping there will be enough snow to keep this open and can move snow up from the Yastrebets runs. They are also concentrating their efforts on keeping more open for low intermediates as they already have cannons on the Rila and Yastrebets reds, along with the Rila beginner runs.
b) Markudjik 1 will have 3 moveable cannons which ...

a) They are no longer doing cannons from Gondola to Yastrebets as they are hoping there will be enough snow to keep this open and can move snow up from the Yastrebets runs. They are also concentrating their efforts on keeping more open for low intermediates as they already have cannons on the Rila and Yastrebets reds, along with the Rila beginner runs.
b) Markudjik 1 will have 3 moveable cannons which subject to cold temps will be moved around enough to enable this run to be kep open all season.
c) They are concentrating efforts on the 'blue loop' at the top - ie: there will be cannons on the nursery slope and along where you join markudjik 1 at the side, down past the bottom of marky 1 to the bottom of the 4 man chair / start of Mussala pathway. There will also be cannons from the top of Marky 2 across to the beginner slope (Suhar). This will enable this 'loop' to be kept open so that beginners can go up via the 4 man chair rather than on Markudjik 1 - which was carnage last year! These will be the static cannons that Bobby was on about the other day!

Shame about no cannons from gondala to yastrabets, but hey any new cannons anywhere are better than no new cannons nowhere

Hi Hun,Yeh I know. They still said they may do them but think they will run out of time... They also think that advanced / total beginners are more catered for and they needed sth for the low intermediates as last season after about 4 days skiing, instructors were really struggling with where to take their classes as the nursery slopes were no longer adequate and george's run / mussala were closed for most of it.
Who knows...things change all the time here as we know!!
