BOROVETS CONDITIONS - 15TH JAN

Evening All!
Ok - exactly the same lifts / runs were open today as yesterday. Conditions today:
Rila slopes including nursery slopes, were very icy.
Suhar (nursery at top of gondola) is in excellent condition which is the best it has been - this was due to3cm of snow up top overnight and also the low temps up there.
The run down from the gondola to the yastrebets 4 man chair is still closed, but quite a few people were skiing it. It was rocky in places, but not too bad if you ...

Yastrebts - these slopes are still in great condition but a bit hard and icy towards the bottom.
I have just read a report saying it is snowing...unfortunately, that's not really a true picture....there is very fine snow at yastrebts but at the moment, nothing major, mist (no snow) at the very top and it is actually raining in the resort as I type this - it is also raining at the top of the Sitnyakovo 4 man chair... Sorry but better you know...or maybe not!?!

Thanks for the updates Kas, coming out 5th Feb, so your posts are invaluable. Here's hoping for a dump before then!(Does anyone know where I can get snowgod's laxatives/)

Thanks for the update..have been looking on the web cams for borosport and on cam 6 it looks like its snowing :-) not sure how heavy as its hard to judge ...but everybit helps....We are also out on the 5th ..can't wait...will be good to meet some of you guys...
Kaz was trying to email you a question to do with the post of minimum age on the lifts, but not having much joy my pc is not set up with outlook ..any other way?

Just got back from Borovets. When I drove up at 7.30, it was chucking it down with rain,but it has just started to snow (about 30mins ago) at resort level - temps were 0 degrees when we left.
We just made a phone call to the night operator (at the top of the gondola) and although I have seen a post saying it is snowing, it is stil raining on Yastrebets and misty (no snow / no rain) at the top. You may think it sows something different on the cameras, but honestly, we have no ...

Not good news only got a few weeks to go but so much can happen by then,,,,,I will be there on the 3rd so you chaps that are out on the 5th i will see you no doubt at the rally point with Kas...LOL
