Hi All,
Firstly, apologies for the delay - it has been very busy here although I am proud to admit that we did survive the invasion and with ultimate ease...!
Anyway, moving on to the snow conditions...
The gondola has been shut for the majority of the day due to high winds and severe lack of visibility - it was also shut yesterday. At the very top, there is more than a metre of fresh snow although the slopes have not been pisted. It snowed through the night and quite heavily today although there was also a mixture of rain and snow at resort level.
On the Rila side, the slopes can be classed as 'good' with very deep snow and once tracked, there was extremely great skiing to be had although the snow was very 'sticky' in some places.
I will update tomorrow properly with what's open and what's not, however subject to reduced winds and better visibility, the skiing is predicted to be excellent.
On a totally different note, George's is opening this week and all the stock etc has been delivered....
Excellent news for us, have to feel sorry for those at pamporovo though, sounds real bad with all that rain.
One meter of snow at Boro though! POW Tastic!!
