Morning All,
Here is the snow update, taken from the Mountain Rescue report this morning after they have completed their test runs...
For once, it is easier to say what is closed rather than open - so on the closed front, Markudjik 3 is closed as is the Borosport snowpark - everything else is open. At the start of the week, not everything was pisted due to visibility, high winds etc however now every piste is groomed. The skiing on both sides of the mountain is classed as excellent and in some places, there is over a metre and a half of snow... Mussala path, Markudjik slopes etc are all skiing perfectly, with similar conditions on the Rila side. It is a bit warmer today but was freezing during the night and snow cannons were running in the early hours.
There is a fantastic week of snow for anyone coming out this week and more snow is forecast in a few days time.
Thanks for the update Kas. I have 21 more sleeps to go, but am hopeful that the conditions will remain the same. Introducing 3 new friends to Borovets - glad they didn't come with us last year. Will be a different experience for them this season - hopefully !
"re:BOROVETS CONDITIONS - 5TH FEBSorry emjay but I intend on destroying it all week, can't garantuee what will be left. "
Well of course you will, not much else to do on a board. Can you stick to the piste please Paul, Fancy going under the gondola up the top and don't want everything destroyed
