BOROVETS GONDOLA

Having been to Borovets last year, I noticed the Gondola was shut quiet often, for all you guys that have been or are out there at present is it the same problem this year ?

It was open every day from 27 December to 8 January except one day due to high winds... so you should be fine!! It's usually only the wind that will shut it.

wE HAVE JUST GOT BACK WENT FROM 28TH-8TH AND YES THE GONDOLA WAS SHUT FOR ALL THAT TIME.WE DID USE THE TITANIC LIFT WHICH IS OK AND NOT BAD RUNS BUT IF THE SNOW SLOWS DOWN IT WILL AND DOES GET VERY ICY UP THERE THE BEST GONDOLA TO USE IS THE MAIN ONE IT WAS PERFECT SNOW AND SKI-ING CONDITIONS UP THERE.

Ummm,,,, prehaps a mix up between what is a "Gondola" and what is a "Chair lift". In my positing i was referring to the cabin (gondola) lift (the big Orange bubble one) that goes up to the top of the mountain...

Very confused now...is the Gondola the Bubble next to the Samokov or is that the Titanic Lift ??

Simmo, the orange bubble is the gondola Wink
the lift is totally on the other side, you can see it on the webcam on the left..

To clarify for you.
Was there from 30.12 to 06.01. and the Gondola was open every day with the exception of one morning when it was closed due to high winds.
It is meant to shut down one afternoon per week and one whole day per month for maintenance, but it didn't last week.

Sorry for the mix up,Yes the gondola was open every day it was the Rila chair lift that was closed apparantly they were waiting for a part.I hope it opens soon for you all we went in Feb last yr and everything was open.We would still go again at New Year the atmosphere was great!!!
