sorry.... just wanted to get your attention.
me and the mrs going snowboardin for first time ever. got jacket, pants and gloves. is there anything else you need to snowboard?
any advice is welcome.
whats the best thing to do to get cheap lift passes in borovets.
I'd advise you get some thermal undies - it can get REALLY cold at times. Some good socks too. Check out deals at TK MAXX (they have goggles as well) or Aldi. We managed with sunglasses last year, but these are no good if it's actually snowing. Lift passes best booked through travel companies - Balkan do full pack for £115 (equipment, school, lift pass). Have a fab time!
Yes KNEEPADS! Also possibly impact shorts you can get away without them but you may be left with a bruise that looks like a map of the world on your ass.
Hi..
Just to confirm the good advice for beginners so far.
Wrist guards? Essential..
Goggles? Essential
Sunglasses? Essential for cool
Knee pads? Worth while
Padded shorts? Nice to have .. I use padded lycra cycling shorts to insulate me bum while sitting around.. us boarders do a lot of that
Thermals? Sounds like necessary to have and make a judgement call on the day but take em!
Helmet? I would recommend a helmet to any skier but more so for boarders especially once you ...

oh take a spare pair of gloves as well unless you have really good goretex ones... they get wet inside if only from sweat and don't always dry overnight.. horrible putting damp soggy gloves on in the morning..
Hope that is helpful.. and see anyone boarding from the 3rd in Boro :-D
I take it you've got a silly hat as well? If not silly, then a bit daft. and take some sun cream as well; the glare from the snow will give you nice goggle lines. Like people have said, take a few pairs of thick socks, a couple of pairs of gloves and a few thermal tops - it's not particularily pleasant if you have to put on your gear in the morning and it's still wet from the day before.
Oh, and the other things you need are a sense of fun and a sense of humour! Have fun!
If you purchase lift passes in Boro then they will cost you you 30 Lev (About £11) Per Day.
Board / Boots hire is also 30 Lev per day. You can buy the lift passes at Gondola, or at the hotel usually.
