BOROVETS

Nice people, great location BUT...
I am in travelling business myself and have been skiing for the last 22 years and I must say that if Borovets will be managed like it is at this moment, it will ruin itself...
Lots of new hotels and appartments but no plans to extend the skiable area and update the existing lifts. Especially the gondola lift and his maintenance are a real disgrace!! Why is it closed so often due to heavy winds or maintenance?! Guys, go to France and learn from them: they ...

Lots of new hotels and appartments but no plans to extend the skiable area and update the existing lifts. Especially the gondola lift and his maintenance are a real disgrace!! Why is it closed so often due to heavy winds or maintenance?! Guys, go to France and learn from them: they do maintenance after the lifts close down for the public! If snow conditions are as bad as last few weeks the gondola is the only way to find some decent snow, so why close it for maintenance and block half the resort?
Another issue: cost of skipasses. 286 Levs (143 Euro) for 6 days and40 km of slopes. Les2Alpes (France): 175 euro for 6 days ans 200 km of slopes, plus up-to-date infrastructure.
Borovets is promoted because \\\"it\\\'s said\\\" to be cheap... Some good advice for Borovets officials: watch out because you are going the wrong direction and risk of killing the ski area if you go on like this.
See you again next year!
