BOROVETS

Meant to be arriving in borovets on the coming sunday and returning the following sunday.. bit concerned about the snow at the moment.. wondering if i should cancel and go a bit earlier next year ?
Any one just returned from borovets ? whats the snow like ?

Got back on Sat - snow good up top am, slushy pm.
Not much skiing on lower slopes but if you cancel now you'll probably lose all your money, so go and enjoy. Still lots of skiing to be done.

Got back on Sat and to be honest around 5-8 km in total .
Iif you have not paid the full amount yet think fast and turn on the computer for bargains left right and centre with a really good snow cover and more than 80% opened slopes, not for around 10% as in Boro and AT THE SAME PEAK PRICE FOR THE LIFTS PASS (actually one LIFT and 2-3 cranky drags).
Once there you wont be able to go to different place to do what you have paid for so do the calculations carefully and make the right choice

There is word of big snow tomorrow and the next day followed by more warm weather - to be honest the lower slopes are literally dirt so even a sustained dump (unless its a blizzard) is not going to be enough to recover these. The top is OK for basically 4 runs plus a bit of ski road and of course a little off piste - nice for an afternoon but you'll need a good book if you're there for a week. if you're a learner I would say go as you have enough. if anything more, look for another place.
