Well folks,

many of you will be dusting off the snow gear and commencing your crash-diets ready for the pending skiing season that we are all so desperate to begin.

Had a long chat with Steve in the resort today, and there are many many changes in store at Pamporovo for the coming season.

1. Hotel Perelik has had a big face-lift. Many (not all) rooms have been improved and the new reception area is unrecognisable from before. Very posh and welcoming.
The day bar has also been altered to make it far more appealing.

2. The lap dancing bar in the Morgavets is no more. This has been replaced by a piano bar.

3. Spiders nightclub has changed and is now more of a folk club playing traditional Bulgarian music.

4. Bj's bar remains unchanged, and really does need a face-lift if it is to compete for the no.1 nightspot. The 'in place' will almost certainly be the White Hart this year. All the UK staff that made BJ's so popular in years gone by are now running the White Hart. This has also had a big face-lift and a full entertainment programme is in place for the new season.

You can also dine out there, a huge T Bone steak will set you back £5. Breakfasts are £3 for all you can eat, and include full English with brown sauce and all the trimmings, plus bottomless coffee pot.

Drinks in the White Hart are cheap and very varied.

5. For all you boarders out there, a brand new half pipe has been built and this will be floodlit for night-time use. This is the first ever half pipe built in Pamporovo and will be supprted with a snow cannon to ensure guaranteed availability.

6. Lubo and George will now be back in charge of Ski School. They ran it 2 years ago and were judged to be the most efficient team ever to run the school.

7. The Marconi Bar has had new huge windows installed to give fantastic views over the ski area from the bar.

8. 2 new runs have been opened in Chepelare making this resort well worth a visit for a day out, and just 10km from Pamporovo.


TO ANYONE TRAVELLING TO PAMPOROVO IN THE NEXT 3 WEEKS

Steve has purchased a new laser for the Kareoke machine, and needs someone to bring it over from the UK before the new year.

It is small and light so it will not take up any room in your luggage.
